Reality of Six-pack Abs and how to achieve them.
Today when everyone is " health conscious", visible abs are considered the zenith of fit body, but are they?
It depends on your body and work, if your body composition supports visible abs then you might maintain abs yearlong or if you are a high level athlete then you can try to maintain abs because your lifestyle supports it, I said - try it and not you should - because ultimately for different sports you need different kind of strength and different kind of composition so if you focus on abs in the sport that heavily depends on strength then you will struggle. So, after knowing all this let's see the exercise and routine, we can follow to achieve our optimum results.
1 - Diet - You must have heard the saying that 'Abs are made in the kitchen', it is absolutely true because Abs are also muscles so what you give your body is important. I won't give you a very strict diet to follow but I will tell you that you should complete your daily protein and also distribute its intake, shouldn't try to consume one day's quota in one go. Try to take optimum with each meal.
Now, diet's importance doesn't end here, because to make those muscles is mostly easy in comparison to making them visible. So, it's important you don't consume a lot of calories in the form of carbs and fats.
2- Lifestyle - Quit Alcohol and Cigarettes. You can't expect to make and maintain abs when you smoke and drink. You need to quit because they not only slow your metabolism but also create problems like bloating. 7 hour sleep is must, you can't expect your body to perform on its peak when you don't provide proper rest to it. Sleep is must for maintaining good testosterone levels and also for better body functioning.
3 - Exercise - It is a no brainer that exercise is important. Important part is that you try to hit your core 2-3 three times a week with these exercises (You don't need fancy exercises, be consistent with simple ones)
a) 30 - 50 crunches (any variation)
b) 60 jack knives
c) 200 Firefighter
d) 3-4 minutes planks
e) 30-50 Knee to elbow crunches (Or any other that suits you, for your obliques)
4 - Patience - This is the most important point. 'Rome wasn't built in a day', so it's important that you keep patience and keep doing just the basic thing, people might make fun of you for your slow growth but let them, because you are not working on yourself for fake and temporary glory, you are here to stay, to rule. So, give yourself one year and keep working on the basic things, and either you will get what you desire or you will very closer that you won't need no one's help to climb the final step.
Best of Luck.
